Meet Ram
30+ years onboard | Senior management roles | Mexico resident since 2023
I worked onboard cruise ships for 30+ years, traveling the world, meeting incredible people, and visiting some of the most remarkable destinations. Those years onboard, in various senior management roles, gave me a deep, practical understanding of how cruise operations really work, day to day, not just in theory.
Over the years, I’ve informally helped friends and referrals prepare for cruise jobs by explaining roles, reviewing CVs, preparing them for interviews, and setting realistic expectations. Many succeeded simply because they were better prepared.
In 2023, I retired from life at sea and moved to La Paz, Baja California Sur, becoming an official resident of Mexico. During my years at sea, I visited Mexico’s ports of call hundreds of times and consistently experienced how welcoming people are, how proud they are of their work, and how strong their values and work ethic are.
That experience inspired the idea behind Cruise Jobs Academy – Mexico. As the cruise industry continues to grow, the need for qualified, well-prepared people is greater than ever, and I truly believe that people in Mexico are a perfect match for cruise ship careers.
